Bible "Fact of the Day" 12/30/2009
The inside of the meeting tent was divided into two areas separated by a veil- the Holy Place and the Most Holy Place. The Most Holy Place housed the ark of the covenant. Inside the ark were the 10 Commandments, a jar of manna, and Aaron’s staff. The Most Holy Place was only entered once a year on the Day of Atonement, and then only by the high priest. The Holy Place was an area of preparation and prayer. There was a table set with 12 loaves of bread for the priests to eat once a week and commune with God.
